Pruned Stand Certification (PSC) provides growers with an assessment and certification system that quantifies the quality of pruned logs in a stand, so that a premium payment can be received for the high value logs. The system is managed throughout Australia by the Australian Forest Growers, the national association representing and promoting the interests of private commercial forestry and farm tree growers http://www.afg.asn.au/services/pruned_stand_certification.html .
PFT supports the system in Tasmania and has staff in all regions who are trained as PSC auditors and can provide consultancy services to Tasmanian growers. For more information on the PSC process see the Australian Forest Growers website or contact your local PFT office.
